Is It Easy To Open Chakras?

Posted on Wednesday, November 17th, 2010 at 11:15 am

Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning spherical which refers to the seven energy centers in our body that are circles of energy and the points where energy is received and transmitted. In simple words, one needs to open chakras and balance the energy flow so as to be physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually healthy.

It should be kept in mind by an individual that one should open chakras which are closed, under-active or which has its energy blocked or directed elsewhere. One needs to perform a chakra test to diagnose the ones that are faulty and then one has to open chakras through the techniques prescribed like meditation, physical exercises, sound and others.

In order to open chakras, you need to identify which ones are blocked. One can easily understand this from the physical or emotional fears he/she feels. E.g. if you have digestive problems, your solar plexus chakra needs to be balanced, or if you constantly suffer from fears of betrayal, etc, your heart chakra needs to be opened.

Moreover, one can also do a simple hand exercise to understand which chakras needs opening. Stand straight with your dominant hand stretched out on one side. Now, place your other hand one by one on the different chakras concentrating on them. Ask a friend to try pushing down your dominant hand and do this for two full rounds for all the seven chakras. Pushing down your hand will sometimes be easy and sometimes difficult. Remember that you need to open chakras for which your hand was easily pushed down.

The closed or faulty chakras being identified, you can now open chakras by some simple techniques. One of them is meditation. The seven chakras of our body are represented by lotuses having specific number of petals and colors against them. All you have to do is meditate by visualizing the flower in the spot of the chakra while intensely concentrating and focusing on it to open up.

You can open chakras by some particular hand positions or mudras. There are different sitting positions with different hand formation or mudras against each chakra. The mind should be calm and clear while these mudras are performed and such chakra exercises can be made more effective by the use of ancient Sanskrit sounds. These Mudras along with sounds, if properly done will open chakras you need to.

Lastly, open chakras by the weapon of positive thinking. Each chakra in the body has their own set of positives and negatives. For example, the positives of the solar plexus stands are aspects of personal power like courage, confidence and high self esteem. Again, the negatives of the heart chakra are those of fear of being hurt, being betrayed by a loved one, etc. Therefore if a person successfully works on raising his positive sides and removing the negativities, it will help in improving the condition of the chakra and thereby improve his physical organs linked to the same.

Thus, analyze the chakras which need balancing through the chakra tests mentioned and thereafter select any of the above techniques in order to open chakras for the wholesome development and wellbeing of yourself, in all aspects of mind, body and spirit.

Would You Benefit From A Chakra Test?

Posted on Tuesday, November 16th, 2010 at 4:26 am

The method of testing the seven energy centers of the body, evaluating whether they are open, over-active or under-active is called Chakra Test. Anatomically speaking, these seven chakras are major nerve ganglia which originates from the spinal chord. These are the energy whorls or points located in a vertical straight line starting from the base of the spine to the crown of the head where energy is received in and transmitted to.

The seven chakras that start from the base of the spine are the base or the root chakra, the ones at sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown of the head. Each of the chakras is named as par their location on the body. The chakras in concept have their roots in the ancient Sanskrit language of Hinduism. The state or condition of a person is reflected by the Chakras. The aspects could be anything like emotion, physiology, physical or spiritual. By the help of a Chakra test, the position and possible comfort level of a person can be judged.

Firstly, chakra test can be undertaken by a person by self health check up. Since physical blockages or problems are the easiest to understand, analyze the areas in your body which are not functioning properly to identify the blocked or misdirected chakras. For example, if you happen to have digestive, heart, lower back pain or thyroid problem, then you need to open or balance your solar plexus, heart, Root and throat chakras respectively.

The second point is that, not only physical problems, but also the analyzing of ones own emotions, like love, or fear, can be defined as a chakra test, e.g. if a person is suffering from insecurity, or the fear of rejection or criticism and is not being able to express himself then he can be sure that his root, heart and solar plexus chakras respectively, needs to e opened up or balanced.

The third point is that in this age of digital revolution and the internet, chakra tests can even be undertaken online. These are actually tests of about 50 to 80 questions asked to you about yourself, your fears, and your positive points, thus coming to conclusion that which of your charkas are open, closed or hyperactive.

The fourth point is that a chakra test can also be undertaken when you are not too sure about yourself. This can be done by giving your close friend or a person who knows you well, a set of questionnaires about yourself.

Finally, a chakra test, called a Kinesiology test is where you have to stand upright with your dominant hand stretched upwards and your other hand touching the seven chakra positions one after the other, concentrating on each respectively. You should ask your partner to push own your stretched hand. It should be done seven times to signify he seven chakras. This cycle should be repeated two or three times. It can be seen that pushing down the dominant stretched hand is difficult for some chakras, concluding that those chakras are open and well balanced, and vice-versa.

Either online or offline, the chakra test gives an idea that which of them are alright and which are the ones that needs balancing. After the tests are taken, it is suggested to take up chakra meditation and chakra exercises so that you can balance the energy meridians for a wholesome existence in your lifetime.
