Valium (Diazepam) is another muscle relaxer that is used to treat seizures, acute alcoholic withdrawal, and anxiety and depression related symptoms, in addition to being powerful muscle pains and spasm reliever.

Cyclobenzaprine (e.g. Flexeril) - used to treat muscle spasm and pain associated with acute musculoskeletal conditions. Cyclobenzaprine is commonly used as an off-label treatment for fibromyalgia.

Skelaxin (Metaxalone) is a strong muscle relaxers used to lessen muscle tensions and spasms. Metaxalone works better when taken with food; it is a strong drug with little side effect.

Methocarbamol (e.g. Robaxin) - a central muscle relaxant used to treat skeletal spasm and helps to relax muscles and reduce muscle pains associated from sprains, strains, and muscle stress.

There are probably more than one hundred lists of muscle relaxers available on the market to choose from, but you must understand one thing about these drugs. They can be habit forming or addictive. Does Clenbuterol (know As Clen) Really Works For Diet?

Clenbuterol is a medicine for horses. It was forbidden by the Food and Drug Administration in 1991, because although the pill was found to help add extra weight and muscle in show animals, cases were reported of adverse reactions in people who had consumed the clenbuterol - fed meat.

In 1998, the FDA then approved the use if clen use in animals suffering with lung obstruction. Any horse that received the drug could not later be slaughtered for food. The U.S. Department of Agriculture and the FDA still watching illegal use of the substance in animals. Product labeling for clenuterol clearly states: “For use in horses not intended for food.”

If you surf though various body-building Web sites, you will find an array of editorials promoting the pill for its lean-muscle-mass benefits, along with advice on how to use it. Some of these sites imply that the drug is safe. Some say that it is used as asthma (but not weight loss) medication in some countries, however, FDA documents don’t appear to mention this.

FDA has banned clen for all off-label use. So, unless you are a horse with bum lungs, this drug is illegal. The IOC (International Olympic Committee) has also banned it. But many bodybuilders who promote the drug for health concerns. Apparently, if you’re seeking out perfectly sculpted muscles, almost anything goes.

Diet drugs are always prescribed in conjunction with a healthy diet and regular exercise. And long term, these drugs produce only minor weight loss. They’re considered successful if 5 percent to 10 percent of body weight is kept off for a year or more.

Although everyone wants to find an easy way to fat loss, there just isn’t one. Or, that is, there isn’t one that doesn’t come packaged with nasty, or even deadly, side effects. Even for the FDA-approved weight-loss drugs (sibutramine, an appetite suppressant; or orlistat, a fat blocker) to be prescribed, a person must be officially obese, with a body mass index over 30 or above if they have associated risk factors such as insulin resistance or high blood pressure. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) guidelines suggest that the side effects of even these approved drugs are serious enough that one should take them only after all potential risks have been considered and behavioral options (read: diet and exercise) have been exhausted.

Foods With Vitamin D - A Valuable Source Of The Sunshine Vitamin

Cod Liver oil: Cod liver oil was one of the first sources of vitamin D used medicinally for children with rickets. It is very rich in Vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids; one tablespoon of oil a day is sufficient. Research has shown that cod liver oil prevents osteoporosis as well.

Eggs: Although only containing small amounts, eggs are another food source for the vitamin.

Fortified foods with vitamin D: Milk is generally fortified with vitamin D in the United States, with 98% of the milk supply containing significant amounts of the vitamin. Read food labels before making purchasing decisions, as orange juice, pastries and margarine are routinely fortified as well.
