Therapeutic Healing Touch - Your Key to Healthy Mind and Body

Posted on Sunday, August 28th, 2011 at 12:24 pm

Therapeutic healing touch gives you a natural healing. This process of healing uses human energy for healing. Hands are used for this process of healing, but there is no physical contact between the hands and the physical body. Most of the patients reported to experience increased well-being and relief from body pain after the sessions of therapeutic healing touch. The therapeutic healing touch process is based on five principles including:

Energy field: The process of healing is founded on the principle that animal and also humans have energy fields. This energy field originates from the 7 areas known as chakras can pass through another physical body.

Changes of one’s energy field: Injury, illness, diseases or discomfort will show some changes in the energy field. These alterations of energy field can be eliminated by this process of healing.

Perception: Healers are taught to recognize others’ energy field to be able to be aware of the problems of the patient.

Changing energy field: The healer can control the energy field to enhance healing and provide relief to the problems within the body.

Use of Hands: Hands of the healer are utilized to alter and also identify the energy fields of the patient.

The person must lay down fully clothed while performing the process, but could sit or stand also. Four steps are as part of the therapeutic healing touch process that can take 10-30 minutes for completion. The first and foremost step is centering which can be known as mental yoga. In order to get prepared for this process, the healer needs to get into a meditative state whereby the healer can become calm and also relaxed.

Next thing is the evaluation where the healer will place the hands on the patient while keeping the distance of 2-4 inches from the body. Hands need to be placed with palms open and downwards. Then slowly scan down the entire body of the patient using the hands through head to feet.

The third step of this process of healing is unruffling. Now, the hands of the healer will become more active and he/she will perform circular movements that are designed to take away the imbalance of the affected areas of the body. The extra energy will be distributed on the area with low energy.

The healer then runs his/her hands over the body parts of the patient in which the areas were imbalanced. When the healer feels that the energy of the patient is balanced then the session of therapeutic healing touch will end. Healers of therapeutic healing touch have to follow a special kind of lifestyle since the healers need to look after their health of the mind, body and spirit. By sustaining their own health, they can offer relief on the troubles of others. Healer needs to be show sincerity to the remedy to be able to help others.

Reiki Healing - Replenish and Restore Body and Soul.

Posted on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009 at 2:26 pm

These days, Reiki healing is one of the better known alternative medicine practices. With roots in ancient India, its modern expression goes back to Japan in the late 1800s.

Reiki healing can be used to heal both the body and the spirit. It compliments other healing methods beautifully. Reiki is excellent to use to speed recovery, as it cannot do harm.

Reiki healing is a spiritual practice. That’s a bit vague so let me explain. It is healing done by one spirit for another (or for itself). As with any other form of energy healing, it seeks to balance the energy system first, and thus helps take care of the body.

The practical side of this, is that energy healing in general and Reiki healing in particular is well suited for healing a wounded heart.

The act of living means that we’re exposed to many different things, and this means that we will inevitably pick up some emotional wounds. Left untended, it can have a serious impact on your emotional balance and physical health. Reiki can gently re-balance your emotional state and ease the hurts of the past.

As for healing the body, the effects are subtle and can be profound. The very least that Reiki will do is to relax the body. This alone can do so much. In modern society, we are constantly winding ourselves up: Time pressures are never-ending, we’re constantly loading stimulants into our bodies, and the fight-or-flight reaction is almost always on. Releasing that and letting the body reset is very restorative.

Moving beyond the benefits of a relaxed body, I’ve seen motion sickness halted. I’ve seen burns disappear. I’ve seen surgery healed in a fraction of the normal time. Reiki is used to manage chronic pain and to assist in all of life’s transitions. The healing effect have been compared to water - strong, yet gentle.

The combination of Reiki healing with other forms of energy healing is generally considered the best way to go. Myself and the other practitioners I know go to the doctor when we’ve got a health problem, but we use Reiki to support modern medicine instead of replace it. Many of us will also blend Reiki with other forms of energy healing, but that’s another topic entirely.

An interesting note is that Reiki cannot be used to harm. It just won’t do it. I tell a story on my site about when I got ambitious and careless and tried to use a technique I hadn’t been taught yet. Long story short - I wasn’t harmed, but I was absolutely taught a lesson. Reiki won’t harm, even if I might have deserved it.

Reiki is a huge area of study. This article is only a brief intro. Reiki can be used to heal through time, and over distance. There are also symbols that are handed down from teacher to student. There’s much for you to discover, if you’re interested.

If you’re looking to get into energy healing with a method simple yet powerful, I’d strongly recommend discovering more about Reiki.
