Soothing Music for Healing Sessions

Posted on Friday, July 15th, 2011 at 11:14 am

You’ll find a lot of soothing music today which is loosely bundled together inside the genre referred to as ‘New Age’. Plenty of this music is actually nothing less than pleasing background music or Musical wallpaper as I often call it. It usually consists of repeated synthesized tunes over droning bass notes.

This isn’t the only kind of new age music however. Some of the new age has been channeled to be used as healing music or as music to go with healing or massage sessions. At frist you could accept that this music has similarities to all the other new age music but after having listened to it for a bit you may begin to understand that it has an excellent quality and as you listen you’ll have a tendency to get lost in the melodies.

The composer of any channeled music usually opens up, perhaps going into a type of meditative state and allows the music to flow through them from a higher realm. It’s not too dissimilar from the phenomenon of automated writing where the writer simply holds the pen and lets their hand be moved.. The composer of channeled music will probably hear what they have played afterwards and wonder where it came from as it sounds completely foreign to them.

The method of healing using alternative treatments like Reiki or shiatsu just to mention a few, is based on giving energy to certain parts of the body so the body can proceed with the of healing itself. In many treatments and techniques it is considered that every part of the body has its own vibration and to which it is resposive and can be stimulated by. Some use gems and crystals to excite the vibration, others use color. Music is naturally the most base sort of vibration to which parts of the body can react in the process of healing. Music which has been composed or channeled for healing will contain vibrations which are basically sub harmonics of the higher healing vibrations. If this healing music is used in association with a healing process like Reiki as an example then the results can be very powerful.

Music for healing is basically just really good quality music which has in a number of cases been channeled and contains the healing vibrations necessary for the body to start to repair itself. This music is very rich to listen to and is ideal if used in association with therapies and healing sessions. It helps not simply the flow of energy but also the well being of both the patient and the therapist alike.

Meditation Made Easy with Meditation Music

Posted on Saturday, February 28th, 2009 at 2:55 pm

In some form or the other meditation has been practiced in every religion since ancient times. The main purpose of meditation is to assist a person in achieving a higher state of consciousness or self-awareness. This will firstly increase self-confidence and hence self -respect. The next stage of meditation will lead to relaxation and peace which a person finds within him or her.

With the ever rising complexities in today’s modern world, more and more people are seeking refuge in meditation in order to get a break from the hectic lifestyle of the outer world. Meditation is nothing but a practice to change your brainwave state from that of anxious and stressed out to becoming calm, controlled and focused. A person who might look calm from the outside may not be at peace within his or her mind. Our mental state is always preoccupied with making plans for the next day to come. But it is necessary to take mental breaks at times. Meditation gives you that helping hand. The peace of mind achieved through meditation can increase if we listen to meditation music while meditating.

Brainwave entrainment is a method used in creating effective meditation music. Such technology uses audio sounds known as binaural beats and isochronic tones for changing brainwaves from high beta levels of anxiety to low alpha and theta levels of relaxation and deep meditation. In simple terms if you are listening to binaural beats at 7hz, but your mind is racing at o16hz then the binaural beats will slowly lower your brainwave level from 16hz to 7hz.

Several researches have proved that nature sounds such as the sound of heavy rain which we hardly have time to listen are actually very effective ways to relax and calm our mind. You can now easily enjoy the soothing sounds of nature or new age music sitting right inside your home as you listen to meditation music embedded with binaural beats or isochronic tones. Brainwave entrainment is a shortcut path of meditation which rejuvenates our physical and emotional self, and brings clarity and balance in our lives.

One can simply plug in your stereo headphones once you download the meditation music into your IPods, mp3 players, or computers. Forget every thing that bothers you, shut out every kind of external disturbance and just enjoy the unpretentious, pure earthly music which has many health benefits. Apart from being refreshing meditation music gives you the same benefits which one can observe with regular meditation. With meditation music one can make meditation more interesting and enjoyable at the same time.

Listening to meditation music brings liberation and inner peace. And the best part of it is that meditation music is universal. One can experience this inner peace at any age. One can enhance his or her intelligence, can have the confidence to remove all kinds of negative thoughts and stress and attain enlightenment. This is all made possible by listening to meditation music regularly.
