Psychic Healing - Tapping Your Own Psychic Powers

Posted on Tuesday, August 30th, 2011 at 11:04 am

In order to learn what psychic healing is, it’s imperative for us to first understand what a psychic is. There still lingers an enormous amount of skepticism and misinformation when it comes to psychics and precisely what Psychics do. Many individuals still perceive psychiatry as modern kind of alchemy or perhaps quackery, others still just view it as just a gimmick. The subject of parapsychology has again begun to garner serious speculation. The concept that extrasensory perception (ESP) and related psi abilities are very real (if difficult to measure) phenomenon has started to provoke further research as well as intrigue from growing numbers of mainstream scientists in the fields of quantum theory, psychology and other disciplines.

One thing to understand is that each and every person has psychic abilities to varying degrees. This ability is generally results of having very sensitive perceptions or perhaps strong intuition. Intuition is an innate trait that exists in every people.

So, how would you go about working on your psychic abilities? Because we are socialized to dismiss our intuition and also rather depend on logic and reason in making most of our decisions, the first step to understand how to become a psychic would be to essentially acknowledge that this exists.

Nevertheless, here are a few things you can do to strengthen you ESP.

Scanning - face someone using your eyes closed. Breathe deeply and then attempt to visualize the other as a ball of light or energy. Immediately after moments, when they each come back, they tell each other what they saw, felt, whatever, as well as describe how or what the other experienced might fit in their lives at this time.” - The Light Ball Exercise

Predicting - write down some predictions for the next day. Immediately after deep breaths, project yourself in to the next day. See yourself following through on your plans for tomorrow. Go searching yourself. Notice any colors or sensations. Note all you sense. Write your ‘predictions’ based on the information you received.” - Sensing along with Interpreting

Online Tests - There’s many ESP tests online now. Work in a quiet room without distractions. Try different tests and work with them repeatedly. Try them at different times of the day. Are you more successful at certain times for the day than others?

Like all skill, it may need time for it to develop your psychic abilities. It will take time for your subconscious mind to be able to communicate clearly using your conscious mind. It’s advisable to read about the subject as far as possible and also learn as much about psychics and the psychic ability as possible, this may provide you with an understanding of the mechanics behind the phenomenon.

Reiki Healing - Replenish and Restore Body and Soul.

Posted on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009 at 2:26 pm

These days, Reiki healing is one of the better known alternative medicine practices. With roots in ancient India, its modern expression goes back to Japan in the late 1800s.

Reiki healing can be used to heal both the body and the spirit. It compliments other healing methods beautifully. Reiki is excellent to use to speed recovery, as it cannot do harm.

Reiki healing is a spiritual practice. That’s a bit vague so let me explain. It is healing done by one spirit for another (or for itself). As with any other form of energy healing, it seeks to balance the energy system first, and thus helps take care of the body.

The practical side of this, is that energy healing in general and Reiki healing in particular is well suited for healing a wounded heart.

The act of living means that we’re exposed to many different things, and this means that we will inevitably pick up some emotional wounds. Left untended, it can have a serious impact on your emotional balance and physical health. Reiki can gently re-balance your emotional state and ease the hurts of the past.

As for healing the body, the effects are subtle and can be profound. The very least that Reiki will do is to relax the body. This alone can do so much. In modern society, we are constantly winding ourselves up: Time pressures are never-ending, we’re constantly loading stimulants into our bodies, and the fight-or-flight reaction is almost always on. Releasing that and letting the body reset is very restorative.

Moving beyond the benefits of a relaxed body, I’ve seen motion sickness halted. I’ve seen burns disappear. I’ve seen surgery healed in a fraction of the normal time. Reiki is used to manage chronic pain and to assist in all of life’s transitions. The healing effect have been compared to water - strong, yet gentle.

The combination of Reiki healing with other forms of energy healing is generally considered the best way to go. Myself and the other practitioners I know go to the doctor when we’ve got a health problem, but we use Reiki to support modern medicine instead of replace it. Many of us will also blend Reiki with other forms of energy healing, but that’s another topic entirely.

An interesting note is that Reiki cannot be used to harm. It just won’t do it. I tell a story on my site about when I got ambitious and careless and tried to use a technique I hadn’t been taught yet. Long story short - I wasn’t harmed, but I was absolutely taught a lesson. Reiki won’t harm, even if I might have deserved it.

Reiki is a huge area of study. This article is only a brief intro. Reiki can be used to heal through time, and over distance. There are also symbols that are handed down from teacher to student. There’s much for you to discover, if you’re interested.

If you’re looking to get into energy healing with a method simple yet powerful, I’d strongly recommend discovering more about Reiki.

Discover Energy Healing to Boost Wellbeing and Zap Difficulties.

Energy healing is the art of helping the healing process by spiritual - not necessarily religious - means. Anyone who has ever prayed for a loved one has engaged in healed with energy. Anyone who has held someone and felt or willed for love and safety to flow into the loved one understands the basics. There are sophisticated methods for healing, and we’ll touch on them here.

The idea to use energy to heal people is actually quite ancient. Both in the East and West, people have realized that energy work can be used to heal. Nowadays, we take a systematic approach, and look to refine the processes into something that makes sense in the modern era. The end result is the same, but the path to get there differs.

An important thing to remember when considering the topic of energy healing is that we are more than our physical body. Our consciousness is energy that is working with the body. These methods work partly by making sure that the body is calmed and balanced, but it also can soothe a weary heart.

Energy healing comes in many different forms. People have different views on how the body, mind, and spirit work together. As such, each method has its pros and cons. At the same time, each method is a path to the same goal. Although choosing a method to work with or study can be daunting, they all are about the same thing in the end.

Amongst the more popular forms of healing out there are Pranic healing, EFT, and Reiki.

*Reiki is hands-on healing in the early levels, and is taught person-to-person.

*Emotional Freedom Techniques, commonly called EFT, is based on Acupuncture. Using a series of taps on the face and body, the energy system is reset in a way, and this brings balance.

*Pranic healing is based in making sure that the body and energy system has enough fuel to keep working properly.

The best way to get started with energy healing is to pay close attention to your body and how your body feels. Notice how your skin feels. Pay attention to the weight of your arms, and the air temperature. Keep going. The farther you can take this, the more you can pick up, the more your awareness will expand.

Of the three energy healing styles listed above, I recommend EFT for beginners. Not that complicated, and pretty friendly to learn. It’s also handy in lots of situations. Reiki is the one I use most, but finding a teacher can be a pain. I suggest everyone learn the basics of pranic healing as energy movement will benefit you no matter what you do.

Each person is unique. Some will feel drawn towards one, others will pursue them all, and some will pass them by still looking for the one that clicks for them. What’s important is to pay attention to your feelings. Trust them. The more you trust in your feelings and your intuition the better they get.

There’s no shortage of areas to explore when it comes to energy healing. What you see here is just a drop in the bucket, and each path has much to teach. By picking a method to study and developing your awareness and skill in moving energy, you can benefit not only those you heal, but yourself as well.

Enhance the Sensory and Shore Up the Body by Energy Healing.

Posted on Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 at 10:03 pm

When people talk about energy healing, they’re talking about using spiritual energy to aid the healing process. If you’ve ever prayed for somebody, or tried to “recharge” someone who was feeling depleted, then you already have some experience. Many different ways have been developed to get the best results, and we’ll explore a few in this article.

The practice of healing this way goes back millennia. You find records that people have used energy work to heal, both in the East and in the West. Recently, people have been trying to add structure to get a modern grasp on the same process. As all rivers lead to the ocean, so too do different ways produce the same result.

Out of the many forms of healing, we’ll focus on EFT, Reiki, and Pranic healing for now.

*Reiki is hands-on healing in the early levels, and is taught person-to-person.

*EFT - Emotional Freedom Techniques - is derived from acupuncture. It uses a series of light taps on the face and body to restore balance.

*Pranic healing is based in making sure that the body and energy system has enough fuel to keep working properly.

Expanding your awareness for energy healing is best done by starting with the basics: your body. Center your awareness on each sensation on your skin. Notice the weight on your face, and the gentle touch of the air on your skin. All of it. As you keep your awareness focused on what you are experiencing in this moment, you will be training yourself to be a great healer.

As for techniques, I’d say try EFT first. It’s pretty user-friendly and easy to learn. Also useful in many different cases. Reiki may not be the best for getting started, as finding a teacher can be challenging. Pranic healing I would also recommend as it teaches you to actively work with and move energy.

We all have our individual gifts and drives. You may feel drawn to one method of healing or another, or like me you may feel compelled to study it all. The one thing that will help most is to really pay close attention to the moment, and what you’re feeling. Trust it. The better you get at noticing the subtle, the better a healer you will be.

There’s no shortage of areas to explore when it comes to energy healing. What you see here is just a drop in the bucket, and each path has much to teach. By picking a method to study and developing your awareness and skill in moving energy, you can benefit not only those you heal, but yourself as well.
