What is Astral Projection?

Astral projection is a tuning of the frequency of your conscious awareness to other dimensions or levels of energy that make up the universe in which we exist. You could look at the physical universe as a skin and the ethereal astral realm as what lies beneath the surface. Astral projection is also known as an out-of-body experience, obe, oobe, astral travel, spirit travel, soul travel, and other terms. Astral projection is naturally very real. We can all do it and find it beneficial in many ways.

Astral projection is not dangerous. It is as safe as sleeping. Astral Projection is the process of temporarily separating your consciousness or spirit from your physical body. It is an extraordinary experience. Astral projection is not constrained by time. It is quite possible, strictly speaking, for a projector to see land formations on, say, Mars, that do not appear today.

Astral projection is in simplest form a meditative practice in metaphysics, the beliefs on which the New Age movement is founded. Astral Projection is merely a very high lucid dream that feels like you have left your body (this is the explanation favored by classical science). Reports of near death experiences do seem to challenge this view point but it is assumed that information must be being gathered in other more conventional ways. Astral Projection is the process of projecting our “Astral counterpart” with the effect of “knowing” we are actually “there”.

Astral projection may be considered a special case of ESP (extra-sensory perception) where the information is brought into consciousness via certain special co-ordinates, i.e. The real point is that the information was already present but needed some mechanism to be experienced on a conscious level. Astral projection is an extension of meditation and a form of trance. It is as natural as falling asleep and waking up.

Astral projection is often obstructed or even prevented because your subconscious mind won’t allow. Until your subconscious acknowledges the fact that it is a natural process for your astral body to leave your physical body, astral projection may not be possible. Astral Projection is the projection of Consciousness beyond the limitations of the five physical senses in order to assume awareness and control of the Astral Body with its own Astral senses, within the Astral planes.

Astral Projection is not actually projecting to the Astral plane as such, because as humans we are already multi-dimensional beings, continually and concurrently existing in the Astral and Spiritual worlds at an infinite number of levels of Energy. Astral projection is an extension of meditation and a form of trance. It is as natural as falling asleep and waking up.

Astral projection is generally learned. The astral world is the “ghostland” into which one passes after death. Astral Projection is merely a very high lucid dream that feels like you have left your body (this is the explanation favored by classical science). Reports of near death experiences do seem to challenge this view point but it is assumed that information must be being gathered in other more conventional ways.

Meditating and practicing relaxation techniques will also help you astral project. Meditating is actually an ideal way to prepare your mind and body for astral projection. Meditation is a great preparation for the experience. Find a meditation you like and practice it.
