Lucid dreams are dreams which may not match up with your dream concept. All your dreams are uncontrollable and happen when you are not aware of it. But lucid dreams occur while you are conscious of it an in an advanced state you can even have control over your dream.

You don’t need to be skeptical about its possibility. It does not require any extraordinary mind set or personality. If you are really interested to have lucid dream and ready to practice some intellectual exercises and make a little difference in your life style you can enjoy experience of lucid dreams.

To practice lucid dreams you need to prepare your mind. Human mind is constituted of both conscious and subconscious mind. Our strong desires are laying in subconscious mind. This subconscious mind activates when conscious mind go out of action. If you are able to activate your subconscious mind while your conscious mind also in working, you can dream consciously.

Slow down frequency of your thoughts. Subconscious mind works when conscious mind is in rest, which is in sleeping. While conscious mind is in sleeping, frequency of thoughts will slow down or almost diminish, then sub conscious mind works and dreams occur. Actually dreams are the unfulfilled desire that lie in our subconscious mind. Train your subconscious mind to activate even though your conscious mind is working.

You can do this through some intellectual exercises like meditation and practicing yoga. While you are meditating you will be able to slow down frequency of your thoughts and reduce its volume up to alpha frequency.

You need to improve your recollection skills. Actually lucid dreams occur while you are recollecting your dreams after wake up from sleep and the dreams progress further. How ever, as part of setting your mind you need to improve your skill. Purchase a dream journal and note down your experience after each dreams including, minute details. You can see your improvement after each attempt.

Sit in a lonely place, and close your eyes and bring certain images from your strong desires to your mind. Make sure that nothing should disturb your mind. Close your mind and recollect incidents of that day one by one. After completing it start for previous day. When you sit alone and concentrate on something, it will help you to recollect incidents. Practice it every day to improve your memorizing skill.

Once you improved your mind set to control you thoughts and able to recollect incidents, you can start to have lucid dreams. It is easy but always be very concentrated in your attempt. Convince your mind that you can have lucid dream, if not you may fail to see.

You can make use of it to create a world of your own. If you are able enough you can see dreams again and again. You can shape your mind according to your will. This will improve your confidence and encourage you to heights.
